About Hounslow Lea Gateway
The Hounslow LEA Gateway is a service provided by Teaching Personnel (as administrator) in partnership with schools, teachers and the LEA in Hounslow. It is essentially a highly efficient and completely transparent clearing house between all of the teachers available for supply work in a borough and all of the schools wishing to use its services. All the partners should ideally promote the service to both schools and teachers such that the system’s efficiency is maximised through having the full population of teachers working through the Gateway. The LEA Gateway is actually controlled through a Steering Group comprising representatives of the LEA, local schools, teacher unions and TP.
Teaching Personnel were established in 1996 and supply both teachers and support staff to over 50% of the schools in the UK. Our ethos is rooted firmly in the need to ensure that our teachers contribute to the quality and continuity of education in schools throughout the country.
